There are a lot of aspects of stereotypical North American culture that spark vivid imagery; most of these images take us back in time. For every day family life we may think of the Cleaver family, with Ward Cleaver coming through the front door and greeted by his pristine wife, a picture of perfection with carefully placed pearls and freshly applied lipstick.
